Cristi Leeberg, AAPRN, Primary Care / Owner
Cristi is a nurse practitioner working in Brevard County providing primary care since 2011. Cristi is the founder of Practitioners in Motion, PLLC, (PIM) established in 2015. PIM is a primary care practice that provides acute and chronic care management for patients in assisted and senior living communities. PIM’s primary emphasis is geriatric care.
Cristi has been in the nursing field in Brevard County for over 25 years. Her experience in nursing has been diverse, including acute care rehabilitation, post-op surgical and trauma care, sub-acute neuro, program director of home health specialty programs, and primary care internal medicine practice.
She obtained her postgraduate nurse practitioners education at Ball State University in Indiana. She is board certified in adult primary care.
Cristi also worked for over 15+ years as part of the Brevard County examinee committee for the 18th judicial system. She provided professional evaluations for capacity. She continues to serve as an expert witness when called upon. She continues to be a member of the Space Coast Guardianship Association.
Cristi also has adopted two rescue dogs that she spends much of her time with when she is not taking care of her patients. Her favorite way to relax is listening to the waves roll in at the beach. She loves spending time with friends and family when possible.
Robert Johnson, AAPRN
Robert Johnson is a nurse practitioner with over 17 years of health care experience. He is a NP that is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a focus in Adult and Gerontology Primary Care.
He is an Army Veteran who served honorably as a United States Army Medic for 10 years, with experience stateside and abroad. His background also includes becoming an EMT, LPN, and RN which gave him his passion to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner. He has experience in Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care, Post Surgical Care, Neurological Care, Cardiac Care, and Medical/Surgical Care. He is a lifelong promoter of continued education, growth, health, and providing the best possible care for his patients.

Pete Ciechanowski, AAPRN
Pete Ciechanowski is a nurse practitioner with over 10 years of experience in nursing. He is a NP that is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He graduated from the Keiser University Family Nurse Practitioner program with an MSN focusing on healthcare across the lifespan.
Pete’s first career was as an IT developer where he was drawn into the healthcare industry. In addition to developing several large-scale exhibits for national museums including The Henry Ford Museum in Chicago, the National Purple Heart Memorial in New York, and the Boston Heritage Museum in Massachusetts, he began to focus on the newly emerging field of clinical informatics. He went on to develop several Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for several pharmacies and private practice locations.
After moving to Florida in 2010, he started his nursing program and obtained his RN from Keiser University in 2013. After getting his start working at a trauma hospital, he took a position in home health nursing.
He obtained his Bachelor of Science in nursing from Indian River State College. He continued his education and obtained a Master of Science in nursing from Keiser University and an advanced practice license from the state of Florida.
Pete joined Practitioners in Motion early in 2023. He is enjoying providing primary care and specialty wound care to patients in Brevard and Indian River Counties.
Elaine Toth, AAPRN
Elaine is a 22 year nursing veteran, the last 10+ years of those as a Nurse practitioner board certified in Family Health through AANP. She was a late bloomer when she started on her path to becoming a nurse. She first attended St. Joseph’s Hospital College of Nursing for two years. Then she attended University of Phoenix online program to obtain her Bachelor’s of science in Nursing, while working full time. After that she went to SUNY Upstate College of Nursing in Syracuse NY for her post graduate Nurse practitioner program, graduating in 2014. She has been working mostly in primary care settings including outpatient facilities, mobile care going to homes, and even a correctional facility in NY as both a registered nurse and Nurse practitioner. She has been a member of Sigma Theta Tau, AANP, FLANP and The NPA of NY. She is duly licensed in both NY and Florida as both an RN and as an autonomous NP as she does telemedicine from time to time for mostly acute issues.
Elaine moved from NY to Florida in August of 2020 when the time seemed to be right to get out the NY snow and cold. As well as being closer to her parents who lived in Palm Bay. She was actually born in Canada but moved to the states with her family when she was 2. And has been in the states ever since and eventually got her citizenship.
As a family nurse practitioner, Elaine has seen all ages from birth to death but she found her niche in the older population. She treats her patients as she would want to be treated and uses some of her own experiences to assist in taking of those same patients.
During her down time, Elaine enjoys spending time with her chihuahua, Peanut, who chose her as his human. She also enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, fishing, going to the beach and seeing friends who live nearby and seeing/visiting those who don’t. She also will listen to music and you may just hear her belt out a few notes to the song, every so often.
Beth Digiorgio, AAPRN
Beth is a Board-Certified Autonomous Adult Nurse Practitioner. Beth has been a nurse practitioner since 1993 and has practiced in the areas of Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Allergy & Immunology, and Orthopedics. Prior to obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing Degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, she practiced in the Surgical ICU at The University of Alabama Hospital System for four years, while also doing critical care transport.
Beth is a staunch patient advocate and treats every patient like family. She joined Practitioners In Motion in 2022.
In her spare time, Beth enjoys reading and spending time on the beach with her son and Pug, LuLu.
Michele Eckbold, APRN
Michele is an Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner who is Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Michele pursued nursing as a second career after the youngest left home. Although she started her professional life in nursing late, Michele has pursued a successful and remarkably diverse career and uses those experiences to make a positive impact on the lives of her patients.
Michele originally hails from the suburbs of Philadelphia and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Chester University. Throughout her nursing career, she dedicated her time to serving patients in various units: Med-Surg, ICU/COVID, Critical Care, and Cardio-Vascular PCU. However, her true passion lies in the field of Hospice and Palliative Care. As a nurse, she honed her skills and expertise in these areas, providing compassionate care to patients and their families during their most vulnerable moments. Now, as a Nurse Practitioner, Michele is using her skills to help patients and their families understand their disease process and navigate it effectively, whether they have received a new diagnosis, are recovering from an acute illness, dealing with chronic disease, or are nearing the end of life.
Michele is an avid Eagles fan and during her time off, she enjoys spending time reading, hanging by the beach and simply relaxing. GO BIRDS!!
Rita Ostendorp, APRN
Rita is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. A Florida native, Rita was born in north Titusville and continues to reside there. Rita spends her free time reading everything, from science fiction to healthcare research related to current evidence-based practice. Rita also enjoys spending her free time with her husband, kids and animals, working out, listening to music, and riding her Kawasaki Ninja when the weather is right. She brings to our practice over 13 years of healthcare experience, with a special affinity in her heart for hospice/palliative care. She believes that quality of life is more important above anything else and will strive to ensure that you obtain the best care possible. It is her honor to care for you! She thanks her lucky stars every day that she gets to make a difference in people's lives, continues to stay humble, and remembers that something even as small as a kind word or a smile can help someone in need.

Outside of work, Joshua is a devoted uncle to his two beloved nieces, Amiyah and Zariah. His creativity and passion extend into the digital world, where he manages multiple fan sites celebrating the work of artists and entertainers including Lindsay Lohan, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Bad Bunny, Colton Haynes, Miley Cyrus, and Elizabeth Olsen.
